Mark your calendar for BayRails 11, March 19-21 2027 (Friday - Sunday) in the San Francisco Bay Area. We look forward to having those invited join us for exciting operating sessions, great camaraderie, interesting clinics, and visiting sites in here in the Bay Area. Operating sessions will be held Friday, March 19th thru Sunday March 21st. About twenty Northern California railroads will be available for your selection as well as bonus Op Sessions before and after the main event, located a little further afield

We will have a dinner Saturday evening and a clinic program Friday evening.

We suggest you plan to arrive not later than Thursday and to depart not earlier than Sunday afternoon. For those of you flying in, the closest airports to the hotel are San Francisco (SFO). San Jose (SJC), Oakland (OAK - Check! They now call themselves San Francisco Bay-Oakland, it is NOT SFO) are about 45 minutes away. Amtrak serves Oakland (Emeryville) with the daily California Zephyr between Chicago, IL and Emeryville, CA and the Coast Starlight from Los Angeles or Seattle.

We are requesting a $30 contribution to offset costs, payable at registration

We will be using a hotel in Newark (lower East Bay) area TBD. The hotel room rates will also be honored for the days preceding and following BayRails 11 for those who wish to extend their stay. Go to the Hotel Information Page for additional hotel information. Check back to see the latest changes!
